WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) — A Michigan man charged with murder in North Dakota has been arrested in Wisconsin for violating bond conditions.
Ryan Anderson is accused of fatally stabbing his friend, Christopher King, in an alcohol-fueled dispute last March at an oil field crew camp in northwestern North Dakota. He’s scheduled for trial in mid-February.
Williams County Sheriff’s Detective Caleb Fry says Anderson was arrested Sunday in Wisconsin’s Vilas County on suspicion of drunken driving. He was arrested on a North Dakota warrant Wednesday, and authorities were arranging to bring him back to the state.
Fry says it’s the second time Anderson has violated his bond conditions. His attorney didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
Anderson’s bond initially was set at $1 million but later reduced to $500,000 and then to $50,000.
