Due to the rapid snowfall, The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued a Travel Alert for the northwest and north central regions of North Dakota.
Travel Alert means that drivers can still travel, but may experience slick conditions that could cause delays.
Motorists are asked to use extra caution and reduce speeds.
A Travel Alert has the potential to change into a No Travel Advised which means drivers should not travel due to dangerous conditions.
And, within city limits, The Minot Police Department reports after 5 o’clock this evening, many people have been struggling to travel up hills, so law enforcement is encouraging all drivers to stay off the roadways.
