Legislative leaders schedule hearing on pipeline safety later this month

By | Bakken.com

Legislative leaders in the North Dakota Democratic-NPL have scheduled a hearing later this month to gain some answers and insights on oil pipeline safety.

House Minority Leader Kenton Onstad expressed that the hearings were scheduled as a results of the Tesoro Corporation pipeline rupture that caused 20,000 barrels of crude to be spilled across a North Dakota wheat field.

Representative Onstad has stated that the recent Tesoro pipeline spilled raised “questions about the integrity and security of oil pipelines in western North Dakota.”

The hearing is scheduled to take place in Stanley on November 20th.
