Dominion provides east Ohio customers several options to keep up with payments

Dominion East Ohio customers who struggle to pay their energy bills are encouraged to explore payment plans and government energy assistance programs as winter approaches.

Residential and commercial customers who use less than 500,000 cubic feet per year have several assistance options:

Budget Billing: Customers can pay a fixed budget amount each month that the company bases off of annual usage.

Current-Plus Plan: Customers with a past-due balance to pay their currently monthly bill and one-sixth of their owed balance.

One-Ninth Plan: Customers pay one-ninth of their monthly balance each month plus a calculated budget amount.

One-Third Winter Heating Plan: customers pay one-third of their total monthly balance on natural gas bills November through April.

Short-Term Extension: Customers have five additional days to pay before next bill date.

Medical Certification Program: This policy is tailored to customers whose health and safety could be immediately jeopardized by a power shut-off. This plan allows customers a window of time to make payments or seek financial assistance before power is shut off but does not nullify the owed balance.

This plan requires confirmation from a medical professional. Medical certification requests are available by phone at 1-800-362-7557 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
