Target Logistics contracted for Permian work lodge

A new major project is underway in West Texas for workforce housing firm Target Logistics. Earlier today, the company announced that construction will begin immediately on a housing facility for “one of the world’s largest” oil and gas exploration and production companies.

The announcement did not specifically name the company, but said occupancy should be available by early 2016.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with our customer on their first onshore accommodation facility in the United States,” Target Logistics President and Chief Operating Officer Brad Archer. “They have been a customer of ours for the past 18 months and over that time have seen firsthand the value in caring for their workforce beyond the jobsite.”

Target Logistics offers housing for oil and gas workers throughout North Dakota, Texas and abroad as well as housing for festivals, Olympic events and disaster relief. The company operates 19 properties throughout the United States with more than 8,100 total beds.

“True to our model, this facility will be designed and built around the needs of our customer,” he stated. “They were very involved in the design process to ensure a living environment that supports a work-life balance focused on health and safety, while upholding their strong values and commitment to the local community.”
