Retail gasoline prices down 2 cents this week across Texas

COPPELL, Texas — Retail gasoline prices across Texas have declined 2 cents this week to settle at $2.36 per gallon.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported that compares to a 3-cent increase in nationwide prices at the pump, which average $2.65 per gallon.

El Paso has the most expensive gasoline statewide this week at $2.58 per gallon. The association survey found drivers in Beaumont with the cheapest gasoline at $2.26 per gallon.

AAA experts say market fundamentals continue to support the price of crude oil moving lower in the near term due to global oversupply.

In related news, Diesel priced lower than gasoline for the first time in a decade or more.
