Construction to begin on fire substation in Williston

WILLISTON, N.D. — Construction on a new $5.4 million fire substation in Williston is slated to begin this month.

The Williston Herald reports that the city awarded Minnesota-based Shingobee Builders to build the substation on 58th Street.

Officials say the goal is to improve response times in the busy northern section of the city.

Williston Fire Chief Jason Catrambone says the station should be completed in July 2016.
