Shale Plays Media contributor Rob Port will appear on Saturday Morning Live, a live broadcast radio show in KGMI 790 radio based in Bellingham, Washington. The show works to educate and inform people about the value of individual liberty and how it is being affected in a positive or negative way through political or outside influences.
Host Jacob Deschenes will interview Port to discuss how Washington and North Dakota can benefit together to enrich lives through the shale revolution, including hydraulic fracturing. They will also discuss refineries, rail transportation, drilling techniques and the growing pains experienced in western North Dakota. Deschenes asks the question, “What does the future hold for this modern day gold rush?”
Washington has also felt the impacts of increased drilling across the country. Deschenes points out, “Washington State has immense opportunities to grow economically by reviving under-utilized ports such as Port of Vancouver, Longview, and Grays Harbor for oil storage and transportation. This creates jobs in areas desperately needing them by revitalizing communities who have lost so much from the decline in timber harvesting.” Deschenes believes that Washington’s current governor, Jay Inslee, seeks a cap-and-trade carbon tax scheme that will hurt working families in both North Dakota and Washington.
Saturday Morning Live is a live show, airing at 8 a.m. PST (10 a.m. CST) this Saturday, April 25th, and people can call in to the studio to participate in the discussion and ask questions.
