The Williston Herald reported yesterday that Starbucks coffee may be opening their first location in the boomtown. Williston Holding Company has been attempting to move forward with the Starbucks project for a while and now have asked for an assignment and assumption of lease from the city. This would be Williston’s first Starbucks location. Currently, the nearest Starbucks is in Minot, ND. Nothing has been signed with the chain as of yet, but the company has been searching for a business operator in the area.

The Williston Herald reports:

“WHC and CEO Marcus Jundt are eying property on 1st Avenue West and 27th Street West for the location. Jundt said he’s been trying to buy the land for four years.”

Chain businesses have been popping up all over Williston. Recently, the city also announced that Menards will be opening its doors soon, along with Fuddruckers that opened last year.
