Explosion at Duke power plant (VIDEO)

Duke Energy began the destruction of its Cape Feare power plant in Chatham County, North Carolina in dramatic fashion today with a controlled implosion that sent the facility’s twin smokestacks tumbling.

The power plant was closed in 2012 after over 90 years of operation. Duke plans two more explosions to fully demolish the structure.
