Boomtown Babes Espresso sees success

I smell sex and coffee, yeah. Nyssa Grey, originally from Seattle, moved to Williston, ND a year ago with the hopes of starting her own business. Known for its “babe-ristas” wearing sexy clothing, Boomtown Babes Espresso has definitely been successful in the rapidly expanding oil town. The small coffee stand (soon to be stands) serves nearly 200 customers a day.  Today Fusion.net released a video profiling the business.  In the profile, they contrast the success of the coffee stand with Williston natives’ perspective on the oil boom that has hit their once sleepy hometown like a ton of bricks.

The two young professionals, Kellee Black and Tarren Jundt are concerned about the rapid crime influx in the area. They also describe an increase in use of the “buddy system” when doing almost anything that, prior to the oil boom, could’ve been done alone.

“Still, the general consensus among the women interviewed by Fusion is that most guys are respectful and Williston is still safe… if you avoid the dangerous spots. And for many, the economic benefits that have come with the crush of people are more than welcome.”
