Oil production set to rise in Sept

Reuters reported today that the major plays in the United States are set to raise their production levels by 89,000 barrels per day (bpd) in September. According to the Energy Information Administration, Bakken production is set to rise 20,000 bpd to 1.14 million bpd. The Permian Basin is estimated to grow 38,000 bpd to 1.72 million bpd. The Eagle Ford shale will increase by 31,000 bpd to 1.51 million bpd.

Areas that produce mostly natural gas were also mentioned in the report. The Marcellus shale will rise 15.88 billion cubic feet perday (bcfd). Haynesville production will lower from 6.59 bcfd to 6.58 bcfd.
