BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A damaged injection line has caused a spill of about 8,400 gallons of a mixture of saltwater and oil in Bottineau County. The North Dakota Department of Health says the spill happened Wednesday about 3 1/2 miles north of Mohall. Brine spills from oil development in western North Dakota are releasing toxins into soils and waterways, sometimes at levels exceeding federal water quality standards, scientists reported Wednesday.
