North Dakota’s unemployment rate follows trend, up in November

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Job Service North Dakota says the state’s unemployment rate is up slightly.

The 2.3 percent rate recorded in November was an increase from 1.9 percent in October but lower than a year ago when it was 2.8 percent.

The national rate in November was 6.6 percent.

Labor Market Information co-manager Michael Ziesch says October tends to produce the lowest unemployment rate of the season, so the November bump is typical.
