Five years ago Stalin and Marinela Tulcan initiated a new idea after some research on the oil industry under the example of Italy.
West Petrol Rafinare is the first new oil refinery in Romania in over 2o years. A month ago the plant opened it’s doors and with 40 employees started producing fuel and other solvents, including Bitumen.
Oil Terminal Constanta has signed on to provide 5,700 tons of pertro to be refined, for nearly 2 million euros. On average the family made refinery has an output capacity of 250 tons daily.
The fuel is sold to customers and distributers throughout the western side of the country including Petrom.
Romania boasts six major refineries: Arpechim Pitesti, Rafio Onesti, Petrobrazi, Vega Ploiesti, LukOil, Ploiesti, and Petromidia.
The total annual capacity is about 12 million tons in Romania.
