The final step of proposed rule changes regulating the oil and gas industry were today unanimously approved by the Legislature’s Administrative Rules Committee (ARC).
Changes to the administrative code include proposals to require sundry notices for spills not responded to with adequate resources, site assessments before and after reclamation if deemed necessary by the director, and changes to what information is required on Royalty Information Statements.
Rules will now become effective on April 1, 2018, with changes to the Royalty Information Statement section becoming effective on July 1, 2019.
Thirty sections of administrative code were submitted to the ARC for approval.
