Minot officials say 1 of 2 parking ramps to open next month

MINOT, N.D. — Minot officials say one of two parking ramps under construction in the city’s downtown area should be open before Christmas.

The Minot Daily News reports that each ramp is should have 225 parking spaces. The Renaissance ramp is expected to open next month and be fully operational in January. The Central Avenue structure is scheduled to open in March.

The hourly rate in the ramps is $1.50 and daily rate is $6. Passes for downtown residents and employees will vary from $50 a month to $70 a month,

The development company plans to initially build 175 apartments on five stories at the Renaissance site, of which 20 percent will be affordable apartments for low- to moderate-income households.
