WILLISTON, N.D. — The Lewis and Clark Bridge on U.S. Highway 85 south of Williston is closing for much of the day for maintenance work.
The highway is the major north-south artery in the western North Dakota oil patch. Motorists will need to take alternate routes between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday.
The state Transportation Department says alternative routes over the Missouri River include the Four Bears Bridge on state Highway 23 near New Town, the Yellowstone Bridge near Fairview on state Highway 200 and the Mon/Dak Bridge near Buford on state Highway 58.
