MINOT, N.D. — An Arizona man has been sentenced to serve 10 years in prison for human trafficking in North Dakota.
Authorities say 23-year-old Antoine Dotson, of Tucson, Arizona, forced a woman into prostitution and held her against her will for a week in a Minot hotel, where he beat her.
Dotson on Wednesday pleaded guilty to human trafficking, gross sexual imposition and aggravated assault, and prosecutors dropped other charges.
He’ll be on probation for five years following his prison term and must complete sex offender treatment.
