Strings of oil and gas job cuts might make fossil fuel employees antsy, but Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems plans to add 400 employees to the workforce at its Windsor factory. BizWest reports that the company will hire 300 employees and 100 temporary workers for production.
To find new hirees, Vestas invites qualified applicants to bring their resume to the company’s job fair on March 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 11140 Eastman Park Dr. New staff will receive $13 to $16 per hour as well as “competitive benefits” such as health care, retirement plans and vacation pay.
According to the application for the positions, job candidates must have a High School diploma or GED, one to three months of related experience and must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
