SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Authorities say a worker who suffered burns last month in a South Texas drilling rig fire has died at a San Antonio hospital.
KSAT-TV (http://bit.ly/1uW2hhZ ) reported Monday that 50-year-old Roel Rodriguez was among five workers injured in the Oct. 24 accident.
Officials say fire broke out at the site about 20 miles east of Cotulla (kuh-TOO’-luh) as workers were doing a procedure.
A coroner says Rodriguez died Saturday at San Antonio Military Medical Center. Further details weren’t immediately available about the other injured workers.
