More jobs are headed to Andrews

The city of Andrews keeps expanding, and with the expansion comes more jobs.

The Andrews Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is bringing two new companies to the area.  One will be located  in the energy park, and the other will be located in the business park.

According to Andrew County News, Nine Energy Services, has plans to build a new facility on ten acres of the energy park.  Members of the EDC expect the company to bring around 100 new jobs to Andrews.  Nine Energy is a nimble completions, cementing and wireline company that services the oil and gas industry.

The second company, Advance Cooling Towers, will be developing its new facility on three to five acres in the business park. According to Advance Cooling Towers’ website, the company is a cooling tower manufacturer and a retrofit construction company.  It specializes in filed erected, timber or fiberglass frame, stainless steel or galvanized counter-flow and cross-flow water cooling towers.  The company also “services all leading brand cooling equipment and provides comprehensive inspections, upgrades, refurbishment, emergency repair and contract maintenance to leading power generation, process, and industrial plants as well as HVAC applications.”

Construction for the new companies’ facilities is expected to begin within the next few months.
