Exporters: Voice Your Thoughts on North Dakota’s Intermodal Transportation Oct. 27 & 28

The North Dakota Port Services in Minot is inviting North Dakota exporters and importers to participate in a state-wide North Dakota Intermodal Initiative meeting on Oct. 27 & 28 in Minot, ND. Executives from BNSF and other freight carriers will be in attendance.

On Monday, October 27,  from 6pm-9pm there will be a Cocktail Reception at Grand International Inn, Minot. Shippers will be able to sign up for one-on-one meetings to take place on Wednesday with ocean carriers. On Tuesday, October 28, participate in one-on-one meetings all day and take facility tours of North Dakota Port Services.

If you are an exporter and cannot participate in this event, the North Dakota Port Services would appreciate if you would provide estimated annual volumes of your export freight to be used in collective data to the BNSF and ocean carriers. Please email this information to Ashley Ritteman at aritteman@ndportservices.com.

North Dakota Port Services, Inc. is a transloading, intermodal and warehouseing facility located adjacent to BNSF’s Gavin Yard with a focus on the agricultural and energy industries. Growing rapidly, their expansion plans include a 2,800 acre expansion north of their current facility. According to the NDPS website, this plan was created to help serve the needs of importers and exporters as oil activity grew in the western half of the state, striving “to support a variety of commodities to better serve North Dakota’s evolving needs.”
