A 22-year-old man died this week following an accident on an oil rig in southern Mississippi, reports the Associated Press.
Chase D. Curtice was struck by a pipe on Monday night around 9:30 p.m. while working a rig near Brookhaven. Lincoln County Coroner Clay McMorris said that Curtice was pronounced dead upon arriving at King’s Daughters Medical Center. An autopsy will be completed on the young man, according to McMorris.
Originally from Fremont, Michigan, Curtice worked for Loomis International and had been living in Brookhaven for about two years.
