Intertek, a leading quality solutions provider to industries worldwide, has expanded its North Dakota oil and gas service competencies with a new 10,000-square-foot laboratory located in Bismarck.
Intertek’s latest expansion in North Dakota will offer field and lab testing services for multiple sectors of the petroleum market. Their press release issued Thursday states that they are capable of testing various stages in crude development including crude-by-rail, pipeline, midstream, petroleum refining and wellhead production.
The new Lab in Bismarck will be staffed with chemists, lab technicians, and inspectors. In addition to the new facility, the demand for services is fueling the future plans of Intertek to add an additional 10,000-square-foot oil & gas metering and measurement services facility adjacent to the new lab.
Intertek is committed to providing new and enhanced local inspection and testing services to oil & gas clients in the Bakken shale oil region. Most of the new employees we’ve hired are from North Dakota. Our dedication to North Dakota and our clients operating here is long-term and strategic.” Stated Intertek Regional Manager Jeff Kayler.
Intertek states that they go beyond testing, inspecting and certifying products. They help customers improve performance, gain efficiencies in manufacturing and logistics, overcome market constraints and reduce overall risk. The company has over 1,000 laboratories in over 100 countries. They also employ more than 36,000 people involved in anything from auditing and inspection to testing, training and quality assurance.
