Vitesse Energy buys up Bakken assets for $186.5M

Vitesse Energy, LLC has announced the successful acquisition of non-operated oil and gas assets in the Williston Basin from EnerVest Operating LLC valued at $186.5 million.

A press release from Vitesse Energy stated that the assets acquired include a working interest in approximately 600 wells and over 19,000 net acres primarily in Williams, McKenzie and Mountrail counties. The initial price paid was $186.5 million but is subject to customary post-closing adjustments.

Bob Gerrity, CEO, commented, “This acquisition represents a synergistic addition to our existing high-quality acreage in the core area of the Bakken and Three Forks play, and also provides new growth opportunities in developing areas of the field where technology continues to enhance returns.”

Vitesse Energy is managed by Bob Gerrity, CEO, and Brian Cree, President and CFO, and is based in the Centennial, Colorado area. Vitesse Energy, LLC is funded by Leucadia National Corporation.
